The best time to visit triund is all around the season but for trekking, visit this amazing place in the month of March to June and September to December. In summers the place offers pleasant weather and the blooming flowers on the way make this trek wonderful. In winter the place looks enticing and surrounded by snow all over. It gives an amazing view of mountains and valley.

Difficulty level

The difficulty level of the trek is easy to moderate, this trek is for everyone and the best place for nature lovers and trek lovers. Anyone above the age of 8 is eligible to go on the trek and the maximum age depends upon fitness level of a person. How to reach Triund

Triund is in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and it is at the distance of 9km from Mcleodganj and 18km from Dharamshala. It totally depends upon a person from where they want to commence the trek, some start from the Gallu Devi temple and some start from Mcleodganj. To reach Triund by road you can take a bus from Delhi, it will take 11-12 hours to reach Dharmshala, from Dharmshal take a bus or cab to reach Mcleodganj. You can also reach by train, the nearest railway station is Pathankot from there take a direct bus to Dharmshala or hire a taxi to reach Mcleodganj. The nearest airport is Gaggal airport, it is 17 km away from Mcleodganj. You can easily get a taxi or cab to reach Mcleodganj.

Triund trek is a fun trek, it would be better if you prepare yourself for the trek in advance. Go for cycling, jogging, stretching and walk for 1-2 km daily. Anyone with basic physical fitness can do this trek. The starting point of Triund trek is Gallu Devi temple or you can also start from Mcleodganj. Take a taxi from Gallu Devi temple to reach Mcleodganj. It totally depends on the person from where they want to start according to their walking capacity.
